Solution blow spinning of piezoelectric nanofiber mat for detecting mechanical and acoustic signals

Solution blow spinning (SBS) technique can produce nanofibers (NFs) mat in large-scale production. In this work, the SBS was used to fabricate piezoelectric polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) NF membranes that be utilized for energy harvesting applications. The effect of operating air pressure from (2–5 bar) on surface morphology NFs has been studied. structural analysis crystalline polymorph ?-phase PVDF powder, casted film, electrospinning and also presented with aid Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy X-ray diffraction (XRD). Piezoelectric characteristics mats were tested by applying impact impulse different weights heights between 1 10 cm. sensitivity voltage response increased 1.71 mV/g 8.98 mV/g, respectively. Besides, generated is found sensitive forces a range few Newtons according detected 80 mV/N based Hertz mechanical vibrations. addition, produced applied as an acoustic signal detector within frequencies. results suggest nanofibrous membrane via great potential sensor.
